Sinopsis
El doctor Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) tiene el valioso don de desarrollar la imaginación de otras personas. Ese es el secreto del éxito de su función, que lleva a cabo con la ayuda del sarcástico Percy (Verne Troyer) y el versátil Anton (Andrew Garfield).
Sin embargo, la magia de Parnassus está a punto de volverse en su contra. El doctor lleva años apostando con el diablo, Mr. Nick (Tom Waits) y ha llegado a jugarse la posesión de su hija Valentina (Lily Cole), cuando cumpla 16 años. Ajena a todo ello, Valentina se enamora del forastero Tony (Heath Ledger), mientras su padre busca una solución para no perderla.
